Metal Marking

Metal Marking
Using a laser to mark permanently on metal is a very cost-effective way to place logos, parts numbers or other information on metal parts. With some alloys a coating is applied and then lasered into the metal creating a durable bond of great clarity and detail.
Anodized Aluminum
The laser can etch directly into anodized aluminum with the use of a coating, which is used with harder metals.
 
Stainless Steel Donor Plaques
This beautiful set of donor plaques was laser etched onto 14 gauge brushed finish stainless steel using Cermark etching solution, a product manufactured specifically for use in lasering images onto metal.
The 3 plaques total 40” x 38” and are mounted on a concrete exterior wall of the Activities and Recreation Center on the U. C. Davis campus, honoring donors to the famed Cal Aggie Marching Band. Our team coordinated the custom fabrication of the steel to the University’s specifications, worked with the design staff to prepare the information and format for etching, executed samples and the plaques in final form, arranged for clear protective coating to be applied and for installation using stainless steel mounting bolts.
The installation is viewed by thousands of students, faculty, staff and visitors each day, and is a permanent source of pride and beauty for the campus community.
